Hampton Inn & Suites Bakersfield Central

This place amazed us! The breakfast was good, with tons of options that satisfied everyone's cravings. To top it off, the staff was really good and even provided a toothbrush and toothpaste for my son without hesitation. The room was really neat and well-kept too.

Noisy air conditioning.

The thermostat in the room didn't work reliably, causing fluctuating temperatures that disrupted sleep. Not to mention the toilet that ran incessantly throughout the night. The air conditioning unit was also noisy, with clicking sounds that repeatedly woke me up. The pool area was cramped with minimal shade. The bedding, while clean, wasn't ironed, and there was some shedding fur on the carpet, understandable since they allow pets. It's tolerable, but not ideal for longer stays.

The hotel is super clean, with everything neatly organized. The breakfast options are excellent. I appreciated having a gym that's fully equipped, perfect for keeping up with workouts. The air conditioning in my room was quite loud, and the thermostat clicks disturbed my sleep. The pool area felt cramped and lacked sufficient shade, uncomfortable for cooling off. It's a nice stop, especially with the proximity to good restaurants and convenience to the freeway.

The hotel was super clean, and we loved the variety of breakfast options. We hit up some cool spots like the local concert venue and a fun escape room. If you want to work out, the gym has everything you need. Totally recommend it for a group getaway!

The pool was pretty small and lacked shade, so it wasn't ideal for cooling off. It felt cramped, and we couldn't fully enjoy that part.

The location was very convenient, close to the freeway. I especially appreciated the cleanliness of the entire hotel. It felt fresh and well-maintained. The front desk staff was genuinely kind and assisted my family with a toothbrush and toothpaste when we needed it.

It was just a prime choice for a short break in Bakersfield with good value for cost. The staff were friendly and promptly provided extra towels when I asked. Check for room temperature controls as some might not work well.

central base for exploring parks and dining options near attractions

staying at this hotel made it super easy to explore the local parks, with Jastro Park just a quick stroll away, and I loved that we were able to grab a delicious bite at nearby restaurants like Akira Japanese within walking distance.

But the carpet in the room had some fur. And the bathroom was super clean with toiletries that smelled really nice. The breakfast had tons of options, and the A/C was quiet and effective. Good value for money too.
